Welcome to Day 1 of the 21 Day Work-Life Harmony Challenge!

Remember, there are 3 steps to work-life harmony:

 

  1. Mindset Shift

  2. Free Up Time

  3. Reserve Space for All of You

 

Today we begin with Step 1: The Mindset Shift — abandoning the belief that success requires self-sacrifice. 

This shift is about refusing to lose who you are in the pursuit of success.You are defined by your core values. Sacrificing yourself erodes the boundaries that protect them — leading to burnout, resentment, and disconnection.

 

🌸 To start your mindset shift today, simply:

 

  1. 🌟Identify your core values

    What do you hold sacred? Family, faith, health, peace?Write them down — these are the pillars of who you are.

     

  2. 🛡️Set the boundaries that protect your core values

    For each core value, write down one boundary you will honor going forward. 💖Here's an example: For me, time with my 5-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter is sacred.

    • Value: Family time is sacred. Life is short and my children are only small once.

    • Boundary: No work on weekends or after 5pm. 


  3. 💪 Enforce those boundaries using “no” language that feels natural to you. You might say: “I won’t be available this evening — let’s regroup tomorrow.” or “That’s important. Let’s revisit it during my next work window so I can give it my full focus.”

     

🌿 Each time you protect your boundaries, remind yourself:

“I don’t have to lose myself to succeed.”


For the next 7 days:

 

  1.  write down your core values,

  2.  set at least one boundary for each, and

  3. protect them with confidence using "no" langauge.
